Germany has leading role to play in climate change talks

Germany and Mexico co-hosted a global summit on climate change and some significant headway was made, but as the German Environment Minister pointed out, the most important issues remain unresolved. Germany is the regional power in Europe and just as it has played a leading role in dealing with the EU’s financial crisis, it will play a leading role in resolving climate change issues as well.
