PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia and Germany will cooperate in the field of civil aviation safety. The Aviation Accidents and Serious Incidents Investigation Division of Armenia's Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Germany's Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) titled "On Cooperation in the Investigation of Aviation Accidents and Incidents."

The agreement aims to enhance the safety of civil aviation and prevent aviation accidents.

According to the MoU, Germany's BFU, within its technical capacity and when necessary, is ready to assist Armenia in using equipment required for investigating aviation accidents.

This includes support in decoding and analyzing flight data and cockpit voice recorders, access to technical laboratories, and expert consultation in areas such as airworthiness, air navigation services, and airport operations.

The cooperation also aligns with Clause 75 of Armenia's 2021-2026 Government Program, which calls for the institutional strengthening of the authorized state body to ensure that investigations into aviation accidents and serious incidents meet international standards.
