Urgent: 5.5-magnitude quake hits Alaska Peninsula -- GFZ

BEIJING, April 13 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted Alaska Peninsula at 2014 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 54.25 degrees north latitude and 162.40 degrees west longitude.
